月曜日残り思い出 / Monday Memories’ Remnants
2019年3月に東京アートブックフェア銀座エディションで発売された「月曜日残り思い出」。 このアーティストブックは、2018年2月から始まった私の残り思い出プロジェクトから生まれたものです。 以来、私は毎日、紙やプラスチックなど、その日に出くわしたあらゆる素材を使ってコラージュを作っています。 一日の終わりにはリサイクルやゴミになる運命にあるこれらの素材を使って、その素材と、ページ上に蓄積された素材に対する私の直感的な反応に焦点を当ててコラージュを作っています。
今回のリリースでは、2018年2月から月曜日に制作されたほぼ1年分の残り思い出をまとめています。 私の美術実践におけるほとんどのプロジェクトと同様に、このリリースは、これらのコラージュの中にある関係性と仕事の週の最初の日を探すために、読者と私自身を誘う。
The Monday Memories’ Remnants edition was released in March 2019 for the Tokyo Art Book Fair Ginza Edition. This artist book stems from my Memories’ Remnants Project which began in February 2018. Since then, I have been making a collage everyday from paper, plastic, or any materials that cross my path on a given day. These materials, all destined for recycling or refuse by the end of the day, are used to make a collage focusing on the materials and my intuitive responses to the accumulating materials on the page.
This release compiles nearly a year of Memories’ Remnants that were made on Monday starting from February 2018. As with most projects in my studio practice, this release invites the reader and myself to look for relationships within these collages and the first day of the work week.
