2019年3月に東京アートブックフェア銀座エディションで発売された「斜め物語 #1」。 このアーティストブックは、2013年から続けてきた物語写真プロジェクトから派生したものです。 私は日々の旅の中で、一日に何枚もの写真を撮影することがあります。 その日のストーリーになるように6枚の写真を選んで掲載しています。
長年の写真を振り返ってみると、私の何気ない日常の瞬間を撮るという性質上、カメラの構え方が水平ではなく斜めになっているのが一般的であることがわかりました。 本展では、この斜めに撮影された斜め物語写真の中から24枚を選び、別の物語として再構成します。
Diagonal Stories #1 edition was released in March 2019 for the Tokyo Art Book Fair Ginza Edition. This artist book stems from Stories Photography Project which has been ongoing since 2013. On any given day, I may shoot a series of images during the course of my daily travels. I usually select six photographs which are then posted to become a particular day’s story.
An overview of the years of photographs revealed that my casual nature of taking these photographs of my everyday moments resulted in a common to hold the camera at an angle rather on the horizontal. This release selects 24 of these diagonal story photographs and reconfigures them into a different kind of story.
